Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How far in advance do I need to book?

We recommend booking as far in advance as possible.  Booking in advance gives us the ability to make sure we have your desired colors in stock and plenty of crew on hand to complete your order. That said, most clients tend to book with 2-5 weeks notice. We’ll attempt to fill any order within our power, even up to the last minute, but it’s not always possible. Orders placed within 3 days may be subject to a rush fee.

Q: What if I want to reserve my date but I’m still deciding what I want?

We can send you a $100 “save the date” deposit invoice to save your date on our calendar. This deposit is non-refundable but will be applied to your final order.

Please give us a call to request this invoice.

Q: What if I need to cancel my event?

You can view our cancellation policy here.

Q: How long do your balloons last?

Air-filled decorations can last up to 2-4 weeks when kept in an air conditioned space, protected from direct sunlight and sharp objects. Latex balloons naturally become less shiny over time but in most cases we can apply a treatment to prevent this oxidation and keep your display shiny for much longer.  For very long installations, we provide a refresh service where our team comes back one or more times during the life of your display to replace any balloons that have lost air and reapply the shine treatment to keep your display looking great!

A standard helium balloon will float for 18-24 hours without any treatment. When balloons need to float longer than 18 hours we add a special treatment called Ultra Hi-Float that can help balloons to float up to 10x longer. Please let us know when you order if your balloons will need to float more than 18 hours.

Q: Can balloons be used for outdoor events?

Yes, we create balloons for many outdoor events each year but there are a few things to consider when planning to use balloons outdoors in Florida.

First, it is best to avoid direct sun exposure if possible. Direct sunlight will cause your balloons to oxidize (become less shiny) faster and more importantly it can heat the air inside the balloons causing them to expand and potentially burst.

Another thing to consider is wind, especially if your event will be near a lake or open field. We use sturdy framework with heavy bases for all of our outdoor displays but if your event will be held in an especially windy area we can also add tie down straps in an attempt to keep your display from being blown over.  We take several other precautions to help outdoor displays last as long as possible such as under inflating the balloons to allow room for air expansion without popping and applying a treatment to the balloons to prevent oxidation if desired.

In spite of these precautions, due to the intense nature of Florida weather, we are not able to guarantee how long an outdoor display can or will last.

Q: How do I pay for my order?

Once our team has contacted you to confirm our availability and finalize the details of your order we will email you an invoice that can be paid online with any major credit or debit card.  You can choose to pay the total due at the time of booking or 50% of the total at the time of booking and the remaining 50% by 2 weeks prior to your event. If you’d prefer to pay by check let us know and we’ll provide an address for you to mail the check to.

Q: How much is delivery to my area?

Our flat-rate delivery is based on location. Please use our delivery calculator to determine your delivery fee.

Q: What is a teardown fee?

Some larger items require the use of sturdy, re-usable, frames and bases. After your event, we’ll need to get them back. We offer a flat-rate tear down fee based on location. This fee covers the cost for us to come back after your event, take down the decorations, and pick-up our framework. Please use our tear-down calculator to determine your delivery fee.

Q: Do you have liability insurance?

Yes, we carry a $2M insurance policy. If your company requires a Certificate of Insurance, the price is $10 for a standard COI or $25 if you need us to name your organization as an additional insured.

Q: Are balloons biodegradable?

You latex balloons are biodegradable but the process can take months or years so please dispose of them properly to ensure they don’t have a negative effect on the environment.

Q: Can I avoid paying a teardown fee?

If your budget won’t support a teardown fee there are a couple of ways to avoid paying one for your event.  We can strategically choose only items that don’t require framework that we’ll need to come back for.  These items include marquee’s, helium bouquets, floating pool decor, some types of yard art,  some centerpieces, and some custom sculptures.  Alternatively, in some cases you can opt to pay a refundable teardown deposit instead. In these cases you would be responsible to take down the decorations after your event and return any framework used to our location within one week of your event. Provided that all framework is returned to our location undamaged within one week of your event we will gladly refund your teardown deposit. To use this option we also require a credit card and authorization to charge it full replacement costs for any items that are damaged or not returned.  If you think you’d like to use this option please let us know when you place your order so we can make sure it will be a good fit for your event.
